Our Story

Founded on a Simple Idea: Do Better

Denise Bloomfield founded the firm in 1994 with a simple belief: recruiting should be done with more care, more judgment, and more accountability than most firms were offering. Too many firms were treating placements like transactions. Fill the role. Collect the fee. Move on. She believed clients and candidates deserved more. She thought they deserved better.

That belief still shapes every search we take on today. Our administrative and professional recruiting professionals take on fewer searches so we can give each search the attention it deserves. We learn how our clients operate before we review a single resume. We stay involved after the placement, because the real test of our work is not whether a role gets filled. It is whether the hire works, lasts, and makes a difference.

What We Do

If someone plays an essential role in your business, household, or family office, there is a good chance we recruit for that position. We place administrative professionals, office support staff, HR and finance professionals, estate managers, executive protection professionals, personal chefs, family office executives, personal assistants, and countless others.

How We Work

Every search begins with a detailed conversation about the role, the working environment, and what has not worked in the past. From there, we conduct a focused search using our network and direct outreach to qualified candidates, including people who are not actively job hunting. We present a short list of strong candidates and stay involved through interviews, offers, and onboarding, ensuring total collaboration throughout the process.

Where We Work

Our office is in the Washington, DC metro area, but we serve clients and place candidates across the country. Geography has never limited our ability to find the right person.

Founder / CEO
Denise founded Bloomfield & Company in 1994 with a mission to elevate the client and candidate experience. She focuses on getting to the root of client needs and candidate aspirations, and finds deep fulfillment in mentoring her team's growth and development.

Chief Operating Officer
Greg joined Bloomfield in 2012 and oversees all operational aspects of the business while leading searches with select clients. He previously served as Vice President of Hedge Fund Research at Northern Trust. He is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and Northeastern University.

Andrea has been with Bloomfield since 1998, collaborating with clients and candidates across all practice areas. She began her career at Lincoln Property Company managing corporate concierge and tenant relations programs. She is a graduate of Shepherd University.

Brittny joined Bloomfield in 2005 and works across all practice areas. Prior to Bloomfield, she worked in healthcare sales at a prominent DC-based consulting company. She holds a degree in Communications & Rhetorical Studies from Syracuse University.
